What Krush Kill 'N Destroy Xtreme is
Krush Kill 'N Destroy Xtreme is a real-time strategy game from the RTS golden age, updated in 2026 for modern systems. You fight on a post-nuclear planet where oil is the resource you gather: it earns the cash you spend on buildings and units. Buildings can be upgraded through a wide range of options, and units gain experience as they fight, picking up new abilities that make them more effective in battle. The package includes an enhanced version of the original Krush, Kill 'n' Destroy plus 50 Xtreme missions, with more than 50 units and buildings to command, each with detailed animation and digitized speech.
Choosing a side
Two groups fight for survival: the Survivors, a military community that lived on in underground bunkers, and the Evolved, mutant surface dwellers who hold that the fiery apocalypse was punishment from angry gods for mankind uncovering forbidden technological advances and for its wasteful political rule. You pick one of these factions and battle with tooth, claw, tentacle and whatever else is to hand. The campaign follows a story of survival against all odds on a post-nuclear planet.
Playing together
The 2026 Update adds online multiplayer support through Steam, so your group can face each other over the net rather than needing to be in the same room. Matches run on the standard RTS loop: take oil, build up your base, train and upgrade your forces, then go after the other side. Since oil is the single resource feeding everything, early control of it shapes how the rest of the match plays out.
Before you start
A few practical notes for modern machines. The game runs windowed with Alt+Enter and supports additional resolutions up to 4K. A new launcher handles game settings, and French and German language versions can be selected through it. Crash bugs and other known issues have been fixed, bunker units can now be repaired, and the pistol sound effect plays as intended when units use pistols. Expect retro presentation with FMV and digitized speech as part of the period charm.
