Cooking in the Cosmic Cauldron

You play the witch chef of Stewpendous Spoons, an intergalactic restaurant, standing before the legendary Cosmic Cauldron. Your job is to serve stews to bizarre extraterrestrial patrons. Ingredients drop into the cauldron randomly, bouncing, merging, and triggering reactions as they go. Each run brings 20 different ingredients, so you build a deck of ingredients and look for combinations that rack up points. Hit the target score quickly to earn bonus rewards like Cauldron Expansions and Cosmic Relics that change how your ingredients interact. If a dish fails to satisfy a patron, the consequences are cosmic-scale catastrophes.

Playing with friends

The Steam features list Remote Play Together, which lets friends join in from their own machines while one person owns the game. Beyond that, the tags list Singleplayer, so the core experience is one person cooking. Your group can still take turns, compare runs, and chase high scores together, since Score Attack and Replay Value are both listed.

Before you start

The tags include Difficult, Perma Death, and Roguelike, so runs can end badly and you start over with a fresh deck. Ingredients fall randomly and react in chaotic ways, so adapt on the fly rather than planning every move. The game is 2D with pixel graphics and a cute, cozy, relaxing tone, but the difficulty tags mean it still asks for real strategy.
