A restaurant run by rats

Restaurats drops you into a medieval restaurant where the staff are rats and the customers are orcs, vampires, skeletons and other fantasy folk. You cook, you serve, and when a guest gets unreasonable you settle things with a baguette. The whole thing plays out in 3D from a third-person view, so you're physically running around the kitchen and the dining room rather than watching it from above. Dropped food on the floor is fine — you're rats, so the hygiene standards write themselves. The tone is comedy and satire: a management sim that knows how silly its own premise is.

Playing it with friends

The game supports online co-op, so a group can take on the restaurant together. Work out who handles the kitchen, who runs plates out, and who deals with guests who start causing trouble — though in practice everyone will end up doing everything at once, throwing plates across the room and wiping up drinks around fallen skeletons. Each session plays as a fresh roguelike run, so no two services are the same: the dishes change, twists show up mid-shift, and bosses come out to test whether your kitchen can handle the pressure. Coordination matters more than perfect cooking, because the clock is always running and the guests are always hungry.

Before you start

Expect a mix of resource management, strategy and outright action. You'll be juggling ingredients and cooking while also acting as security when the dining room turns hostile, and the baguette is a legitimate weapon, not a joke — well, both at once. Character customization is extensive, so you can build a rat chef that is weird, cool or completely over the top before your first shift. Roguelite elements mean runs end and restart, with each attempt teaching you a bit more about how the restaurant behaves under chaos. Go in ready to improvise, share the workload with your co-op partners, and accept that some meals will end up on the floor. That's the job.
