Roll everything into one big ball
Katamari Damacy REROLL is a roll-em-up game where you play as the Prince of Cosmos. The King of All Cosmos has accidentally destroyed all the stars in the sky, and he orders you to put the twinkle back in the heavens above. You do this by rolling a small sticky ball around rooms, streets, and open areas, picking up everything you touch. Small things like thumbtacks and erasers stick first, and as the ball grows you can roll up chairs, people, buildings, and more. The ball keeps getting bigger, and what you can pick up changes with its size. The game returns with fully updated graphics, completely recreated cutscenes, and full HD visuals.
Playing together
Katamari Damacy REROLL supports Remote Play Together, so friends can join in over a connection and share the rolling. The game also has local multiplayer. One person steers the ball while others take part in the same session, and you can pass the controller around to give everyone a turn at building up the star. The shared goal stays the same: roll up as much as you can and get the ball to the size the King demands before time runs out.
Before you start
The game is a remake of a classic, so it keeps the arcade feel of the original while updating the presentation. It is tagged as both relaxing and difficult, which fits the way it plays: the rolling itself is simple to pick up, but hitting the size target within the time limit takes practice and a plan for what to roll up first. It is marked as family friendly and works with a controller. The tone is surreal and comedic, with a great soundtrack running under the action. Expect a singleplayer experience at its core, with the multiplayer options layered on top.
