A quick Chinese-style roguelite run
Jianghu Survivor is a light, casual roguelite where you cut through hordes of monsters until you reach the final one. The controls stay simple: move up, down, left, and right, attack what you see, and dodge out of the way when things get crowded. A single run takes about 15 minutes, so the pace stays tight from the first wave to the last. The hand-drawn look and martial arts moves give it a Chinese wuxia flavor without adding complicated systems to learn.
Playing with your group
You can fight alone or team up with three or four friends in online co-op. Everyone picks a different character, and each one brings its own set of active and passive skills to the fight. During a run, you can step in when a teammate is in trouble or stick close to a teammate who has plenty of resources so you both come out ahead. With dozens of monsters on the field, splitting up and covering more ground works as well as staying in a tight group, depending on how the waves come at you.
Building a character and pushing further
The core loop is picking skills as you go and shaping a build that fits your character. Dozens of active and passive skills are on offer, so two runs with the same character can play out very differently. Even after a run ends, you keep stones that go toward talent upgrades and stronger attributes, which helps you get deeper into the next attempt. There are four unique characters to work through, each with its own martial arts moves, so there is room to find a favorite and then try something new.
Before you start
A free demo is available if you want to learn the game first. It covers an early stage of the game and supports co-op, but everyone in the group needs to be on the demo version to play together. Keep that in mind if part of your group plans to buy the full game while others stay on the demo.
