Carry the king, don't drop him
Hold Your King is a physics-based co-op platformer set in a stylized medieval world packed with parkour routes, traps, and hazards. Two players pick up a short-tempered king on a stretcher and haul him through deadly courses toward the throne room. Your speed, acceleration, and angular momentum all feed directly into his balance, so every step you take decides his fate and yours. The physics are the core of the game: the king slides, tips, and tumbles based on how you move, not on a scripted animation.
Working together with a friend
The game is built for two players, with Online Co-op and Remote Play Together available. Both of you hold the stretcher, so you lift it up or down, rotate it left or right, and use the physics to your advantage rather than fighting it. Communication matters more than reflexes here: one player correcting too hard can throw the whole stretcher off. The stretcher is also a tool for the environment — you push and shove dynamic obstacles with it to clear your path through the course.
Handling the king himself
The king is responsive to his surroundings, and you can manipulate him as you wish. Bonk him to steady his position, but he might get angry, so do it at your own risk. If he ends up off the stretcher, you pick him up and drag him back on — simple in theory, awkward in practice. Angering him brings whips and tantrums, so keeping him calm is part of the run.
Before you start
Expect a casual, party-style difficulty built around coordination rather than combat. The courses are full of dangers, so balance and timing beat raw speed. Character customization is available, and the world is rendered in a cute, stylized 3D look. Grab a friend, decide who lifts where, and start slow — the physics punish sudden corrections far more than careful ones.
