What HAINYA WORLD is
HAINYA WORLD is an early access action RPG with survival and building mixed in. You play an adventurer who sets out for an ancient continent after monsters attack the kingdom. The main land is the Narus Continent, home of the hainyaworld people, with towns and residents you can visit and talk to. Beyond that lies a forgotten continent where monster activity has gone wrong, and where you can dig up terrain and build structures to get around and explore.
Combat is the core of the loop: fight monsters, level up, upgrade your gear, and take the loot enemies drop. There are over 15 weapon styles to choose from, including sword and shield, greatsword, axe, spear, dual blades, daggers, katana, gauntlets, shortbow, short staff, longbow, long staff, holy book, dual crossbows, handgun, shotgun, sniper rifle and assault rifle. Alongside more than 100 weapons, over 100 equipment pieces and 200 skills and techniques, you can swap between weapon styles at any time.
Playing it together
Online Co-op lets you team up with friends through Steam's online features, so you can adventure, build and explore the same world side by side. The building side matters as much as the fighting: gather materials from the land, break terrain, and put up a base you shape yourselves. Between fights there's plenty of downtime to fill in together, from farming crops at your base to fishing out of the 50-plus fish types, or riding any of the 20 vehicle styles across the world.
You are not limited to your own group either. Over 30 NPC companions travel with you, and more than 10 types of companions can be collected, so a party can feel busy even when it's just the two of you online.
Before you start
The game is in Early Access and has just had a major update (EA 2.0) that reworked many mechanics, improved the visuals and added new gameplay, so expect things to keep changing while you play. Combat is described as easy to learn, and there's a fashion system on top of the equipment one if you want your character to look the part.
Controller support is built in for Xbox controllers with no extra setup, and the game runs fully on Steam Deck.
