Cleaning jobs gone wrong
Paranormal Cleanup puts you and up to three friends in the shoes of cleaning company employees sent into paranormal locations to tidy up. The work itself is mundane on purpose: unclog toilets, fix broken sewage pipes, scrub ectoplasm off surfaces, pick up trash, and dispose of moldy pizzas. The catch is that these places are haunted. Ghosts, cult leaders and other paranormal beings roam every map, and they are not happy about your presence. Every action you take raises the entity's anger, so the more cleaning you do, the more dangerous the shift becomes. Difficulty scales with your behavior rather than a fixed setting, which means a noisy, careless run gets tense fast.
Playing it as a group
The game supports up to four players in online co-op, and you can also go in alone if nobody is around. Working together means splitting up the chores, watching each other's backs, and deciding when to push for one more objective and when to hide. Proximity voice chat is built in, so you hear your friends as they actually sound in the space — including the screaming when something finds them. Each of the eight locations, from suburban houses and whole streets to a summer camp and a high school, has its own supernatural threat, so the group faces a different enemy on every map. Optional objectives let you weaken or fully banish the entity hunting you, if your team wants to take that risk and clean in peace.
Before you start
Item and objective locations, plus entity events, are randomized each playthrough, so no two shifts play out the same. Progression is part of the loop: you earn EXP and money, unlock and upgrade perks and gear, and pick up outfits for your character. Expect stealth to matter as much as speed — hiding in a closet is a legitimate strategy, and the 3D audio is designed to make that waiting game convincing. The game contains flashing lights that may be unsuitable for people with photosensitive epilepsy or other photosensitive conditions, so keep that in mind before you clock in.
