Racing through Gensokyo
GENSOU Skydrift is a Touhou Project racing game set in Gensokyo, where humans and yokai live together. The story starts when Reimu Hakurei and Marisa Kirisame notice their spirit energy is weak and spot someone running off on a racetrack. You race down 16 courses spread across Gensokyo, including the Human Village, a flying ship, the spooky Scarlet Devil Manor, and the cherry blossom-lined Hakugyokuro. Tracks use walls, ceilings, cliffs and open air, so courses twist around in ways a normal road would not.
Riders, boards and spell cards
The roster holds 20 challengers from the Touhou Project, and each pair splits into one girl acting as the board and one acting as the rider. The tag system lets you swap rider and board mid-race, which changes how you handle the course. Spell cards cover interference, acceleration and defense, and Last Words are there for heavy hits. Races end with records and win rates you can check afterward, so a group can keep score across sessions.
Playing together
Online VS mode is the main way to race against other people, and Remote Play Together lets friends join in from their own setups. There is also a campaign mode where the game's story plays out, plus a post-game secret episode after you finish it. The game works for Touhou veterans and newcomers alike, so a group does not need shared series knowledge to start racing.
