What Fungiman is
Fungiman is a first-person survival horror game set in the Fungar forest. You wake up among trees, flowers and mineshafts, and the warden of the forest — the Füngiman — has been watching you the whole time. He guards his donuts, which are the main source of his füngus power, but you need them too, because you are a human and they taste good. So you go around collecting and eating every donut you find, which is exactly the thing that risks angering him. The game plays on that tension: you never quite know whether taking one more is safe or not.
How a group plays it together
Fungiman includes multiplayer, so you and people from your group can go into the forest at the same time rather than each playing alone. The PvE side puts you against the Füngiman himself, while the store listing also tags PvP, so competition between players is part of the picture. What ties everyone together is the same shared space: donuts, mineshafts, diverse locations, and a creature whose attention you all have to manage. Whether you split up to cover more ground or stick close, the donut economy stays the same — every one you take is one he may notice.
What to know before starting
The Füngiman changes his behavior and tactics as the game goes on, so a routine that works early can stop working later. There are two levels to play through: a classic one and a reworked version, plus secret minigames hidden around the locations. Multiple endings mean your run is shaped by what you actually do rather than following one fixed path. It is tagged as atmospheric, surreal and psychological horror, so expect tension and an odd tone rather than constant combat — the horror comes largely from being watched by something that keeps adapting to you.
