Build a factory across an infinite voxel world

FOUNDRY drops you on an unexplored planet and gives you full control over what happens next. You start by mining and harvesting resources by hand, then work your way up to a fully automated robot production facility. The world is procedurally generated and infinite, with dense jungles, gigantic mountain ranges, and great plains to explore, plus plenty to discover beneath the surface. Construction is grid-based, so you get precise control over where machines, conveyor belts, pipes, and elevators go. You can build deep underground, high in the sky, or anywhere in between, and sculpt the landscape block by block to fit your plans. Your AI friend Carl oversees the operation while you research new technologies, unlock decorative items and color options, and keep a complex power system running so production never slows down.

Play solo or bring in outside contractors

You can run the whole operation yourself or recruit outside contractors in online or LAN co-op multiplayer. In co-op, the group splits up the work naturally: some players handle resource extraction and exploration, others lay out conveyor networks and pipes, and someone keeps an eye on the power grid. Since there are no limits on where you build, a team can spread out across the map and connect distant outposts into one large factory complex. Bottlenecks are the shared enemy, so coordinating inputs and outputs across the group keeps productivity at its peak. Selling products through interplanetary trade networks and pushing through the research tree gives the group a common goal to work toward.

What to know before starting

FOUNDRY is in Early Access, so expect the game to change and improve over time. The first hours are hands-on: you gather resources and craft items manually before assembly lines take over. Progression runs through an extensive research tree, and meeting its demands means expanding production, upgrading machinery, and adding advanced power generators. The power system needs constant attention as the factory grows, so plan for that alongside your build. It works as a singleplayer experience or with friends in co-op, and the sandbox setup rewards players who like optimizing logistics and shaping the terrain to fit an ambitious design.
