A Sandbox Factory on a Procedural World

Evospace is a first-person sandbox where you shape a fully modifiable world block by block. Dig, build, and terraform the terrain to suit your plans, then turn raw resources into processed materials and refined goods. There are no enemies or deadly threats to fight, so the challenge comes from engineering: designing efficient production chains, moving items and fluids, and balancing electricity, heat, and kinetic energy across your machines. Progress comes through a research tree with hundreds of technologies that unlock new resources, machines, materials, and upgrades as your factory grows.

Playing Together with Online Co-op

Evospace supports Online Co-op, so you and your friends can work on the same world. Split up the workload by taking on different parts of the industrial chain — one person mining and smelting ores, another handling chemistry for fuels and acids, and someone else wiring up power generation and distribution. Since every block can be moved, you can coordinate large construction projects, dig out space for new production lines, and terraform the landscape together. Logic circuits, controllers, and networks let you divide automation duties, with each player contributing pieces that plug into one cohesive factory system.

What to Know Before Starting

The game is in Early Access, so expect it to still be in development. It is a sandbox with no combat, so the difficulty lies in logistical puzzles rather than survival pressure. The scope runs from basic ores up through metallurgy, advanced alloys, chemical processing, electronics, digital logic, fusion reactors, and teleportation technology, meaning there is a long tech curve to work through. The end goal described is achieving complete automation and building a portal to bring another planet into the chain of worlds. The world is procedurally generated, so each session starts on a different map.
