Build an automated factory
AutoForge is a 2D automation sandbox where you play as Otto, a magical golem who wakes up abandoned and alone. Crafting takes time, so the goal is to build a factory that runs itself. You set up Mana-powered machines, farming plots, and monster husbandry, then connect production lines that carry resources from outposts back to the heart of your factory. You reshape the terrain to fit the layout you want, and you push into new regions to find ore deposits and treasure. A massive technology tree unlocks new structures and materials as your factory grows, and ancient technology scattered around the world upgrades Otto's mainframe.
Play together online
AutoForge supports Online Co-op, so you and your friends can work on the same world. Split up the work: some players scout new regions for ore and points of interest, others lay out production lines and expand the tech tree, and someone keeps the defenses ready. Since the world is large and divided into regions that unlock as Otto's tether to the Apotheos expands, coordinating who explores and who builds keeps the group moving forward without stepping on each other's plans.
What to know before starting
The world mixes procedural generation with hand-crafted points of interest, so each region has its own layout to read and plan around. You are not alone out there: a mysterious auto-defense system has awakened to protect the world's resources from you, and its drones will attack. You fight back with a sword, a blaster, and an auto-defense system of your own, so leave room in your build for defenses alongside production. The game is in Early Access, which means things can change as development continues.
