A driving festival set in Japan
Forza Horizon 6 drops you into Japan with over 550 real-world cars, including JDM classics, and sends you from tourist to Horizon Legend. You start by exploring the map and filling out a Collection Journal, then qualify for the Festival in the Horizon Invitational and work through progressively faster cars to earn new Wristbands. Tokyo City is the largest urban area in a Forza Horizon game, with downtown streets, suburbs, docks and industrial districts, while rural areas and varied biomes sit alongside it. Along the way you meet the Legends of the Horizon Festival, take part in Touge Battles, and follow stories rooted in Japanese car culture. The campaign can be played solo or in co-op with friends.
Playing together
Cruise the roads with friends, join Car Meets around Japan, and take part in Time Attack Circuits and Drag Meets. There are Spec Racing Championships to compete in, plus the established Horizon multiplayer modes including The Eliminator and Hide & Seek. Co-op LINK skills unlock as you play alongside other players. CoLab, the upgraded EventLab toolset, lets you and your friends build custom events together anywhere in Japan, with multiplayer support, and share what you make for others to play. Community-made layouts can also be downloaded for your garages.
Cars, homes and building
Houses across Japan come with customizable garages for showing off your collection, and the Estate is a mountain valley where you can build freely in the open world. Cars can be upgraded with body kits and Forza Aero options, painted with custom liveries on windows, and there are Forza Edition cars with extreme modifications plus rare Aftermarket Cars to test drive and buy. Engine audio and steering animations have been updated, with up to 540 degrees of wheel rotation.
Before you start
The game is built to be approachable: options include Granular High Contrast Mode, Car Proximity Radar, AutoDrive, and American and British Sign Language arriving in a post-launch update. AutoDrive lets you take in the cars, music and locations without handling everything yourself. Expect a long climb from rookie to Horizon Legend, with Legend Island reserved for the top drivers as the end goal.
