Fighting through London for Claire's sister
Final Vendetta is a side-scrolling beat 'em up in the style of 1990s coin-op brawlers, built by Bitmap Bureau with pixel art and responsive controls. The Syndic8 gang has taken over the streets of London and kidnapped martial artist Claire Sparks' sister, so she teams up with wrestler Miller T. Williams and bare-knuckle brawler Duke Sancho to fight through six urban zones and bring her home. Combat is fast and unforgiving, leaning on hard-hitting combos, precise timing, blocking, juggling, and running attacks rather than button mashing.
Playing together as a group
Local co-op support lets you and a friend take two of the three fighters into the fight, each picking a character that suits their style: Claire is fast and technical, Duke hits hard with flashy punches, and Miller is built for slams and chaos. Beyond the story push through the six zones, the game includes four modes to rotate through: Arcade, Survival, Versus, and Boss Rush. Steam's Remote Play Together feature is listed, so a group can also join in remotely where that applies.
Before you start
The game carries multiple difficulty settings and unlockables, so a group can settle on a level that matches everyone before diving in. Expect a tough, momentum-driven fight with plenty of enemies and bosses across each stage, and know that the soundtrack is a big part of the package, with tracks from Utah Saints, Featurecast, and Krafty Kuts. It is tagged as singleplayer alongside local co-op, so plan on sharing one screen for the co-op runs.
