Defend the elven town with a bow
Elven Assassin is a virtual reality archery game built around one job: hold the elven town against waves of orcs. You take a bow and pick off hundreds of orcs of different types as they charge toward the settlement. The orcs run fast, and they break into houses to hide from your arrows. When they get furious, they throw massive axes at you, so staying still in one spot is a bad idea. The game was made from the ground up for room-scale VR, so expect to move your body, draw the bow by hand, and take shots like long-distance headshots or arrows sent through windows. Clearing waves puts you on the global leaderboards against other elven assassins.
Play together or go head to head
You can play alone, or unite with other assassins online. Two, three, or four players can defend the town together, and the group has four archery spots to share. Pick a public server that needs help, or set up a private server to defend the castle only with people you know. Coordination matters: spread across the four spots so the town stays covered, and call out the orcs that slip into buildings. If your group would rather fight each other, PvP Deathmatch puts you against other players online in a competitive archery mode, and the game warns that some very skilled archers are waiting there.
Before you start
You need a VR headset to play, since the game is built for room-scale virtual reality. If you do not own one, the game points to VR parks and arcades as an alternative. The game includes voice chat, so keep that in mind and follow the Steam Online Conduct while playing with strangers. It is listed as Early Access, so expect the game to still be in development. The game is not associated with any fantasy movie, game, or book; any similarity is coincidental.
