A city that changes when the sun goes down

Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition drops you into Villedor, one of the last settlements left after the Harran virus and the Fall. You play as Aiden Caldwell, a wandering Pilgrim who carries goods and news between survivor settlements, and who came to Villedor looking for his sister Mia. The city is split by conflict, and you'll need to fight through infected and make allies as you go. During the day, survivors keep up a rough version of normal life. After sunset, more dangerous creatures crawl out of the interiors and take the streets, so being caught out in the dark too long can end badly.

Movement is the core of survival

Parkour is how you get around and how you stay alive. You free run across buildings and rooftops, jump between them, swing across the cityscape and ride ziplines, whether you're hunting loot in remote spots or getting away from something that wants you dead. Not every fight is winnable, so running is a legitimate option and the movement tools are built for it. Combat rewards creativity: smash, slice or dismember with weapons, or use your parkour moveset itself to get the drop on enemies. Villedor holds a lot of weapons, so you'll be swapping and experimenting as you go.

Playing with friends

Surviving gets easier with company. You can team up with up to 3 other players, which means up to four of you in a session. Together you can work through the story, take on Pilgrim Outpost challenges, or just cause trouble in the streets. Alongside online co-op the game offers single-player, Steam Achievements, controller support, Steam Cloud saves and Remote Play on TV, so there's room to play your own way.

Worth knowing before you start

The store page also points at Dying Light: The Beast, a standalone zombie adventure tied to DLC2, with Kyle Crane returning; it's included at no extra cost for owners of the Ultimate Edition. The listing includes In-App Purchases, so expect some paid content sitting alongside the game. Keep an eye on the day and night cycle from the first hour — planning your routes around sunset matters more here than in most open world games.
