A Block-Building RPG in a Land That Hates Builders

You play as a young apprentice builder who escapes the Children of Hargon, a cult that has outlawed building, cooking, and creating anything at all. After washing up on the deserted Isle of Awakening, you meet Malroth, a mysterious youth with no memory of his past who loves a good fight. Together you set out to gather the skills to become a full-fledged builder, help the people of the realm rebuild their destroyed lands, and uncover the secrets of Malroth's past. The game mixes action, adventure, and RPG elements: you explore, battle, build, and harvest across an expansive world. You dash, swim, and glide between open fields, charming villages, treacherous mines, and spectacular castles. Along the way you improve your skills, learn new recipes and blueprints, and grow as a builder. Despite the 2, this is a completely standalone experience with new characters and an expansive world.

Playing Together Online

The single-player campaign is where the story lives, but the online sandbox mode is where your group can build big projects together. Up to 4 players can team up online on the sandbox Isle of Awakening to build anything you can imagine. Big projects require big help, so this is the mode to jump into when your group wants to collaborate on something massive rather than push through the story. Each island contains its own set of unique materials, so gathering and crafting feeds directly into what you can construct together.

What to Know Before Starting

You can customize your character before setting off. The world is full of things to do beyond building: you till soil, plant seeds, and raise crops with your villagers, harvesting everything from cabbage to sugar canes. Fields can be customized to support the kind of crops you grow. In combat, Malroth fights alongside you as an aggressive amnesiac whose powerful attacks and skills prove indispensable. The Steam version includes the base game plus additional in-game content such as the Hotto Stuff Pack, Modernist Pack, Aquarium Pack, Designer's Sunglasses, Historic Headwear, Legendary Builder Outfit, and Dragonlord's Throne. A jumbo demo is available that lets you customize your character, reach your first encounter with the children of Hargon, explore the Isle of Awakening, and sail to Furrowfield to help the villagers rebuild their town, with save data transferring to the full version.
