A Survival Action RPG in a Fallen World
You play as the Flameborn, the last ember of hope for a dying race. The game takes place in Embervale, a realm ruined when your ancestors unleashed a pestilence in their search for forbidden power. Your goal is to survive the corrupting fog known as the Shroud, explore diverse biomes like the sun-scorched Kindlewastes and the shadowed Revelwood, and uncover the remnants of lost cultures. It is a PvE experience where you fight corrupted factions and deadly bosses, gather resources, and craft gear to stand against the Shroud.
Playing Together with Friends
Enshrouded is built for co-op, supporting groups of up to 16 players. You can team up to raid, build, and battle the Fell hordes together. The building system uses voxel tools, allowing the group to construct grand structures and customize details to bring life back to the land. As you build shelters for NPCs, those characters unlock workshops, which in turn give your team the means to craft better gear. Playing together lets you split the work of exploring the vast world and taking on the punishing bosses that guard its secrets.
Combat, Crafting, and Character Paths
Combat is action-focused, requiring you to dodge, parry, and use skills and spells. You can forge your own style by choosing to play as a Wizard, Ranger, or Warrior, and you can master weapons like the sword, shield, staff, and bow. Progression involves crafting and upgrading legendary weapons and armor to prepare for tougher threats. Since the game is in Early Access, expect the experience to still be in development as you venture out to awake the ancient Flame and reclaim hope for the fallen world.
