Ride snow and dirt your way

Descenders Next puts you on a snowboard for the steep snowy slopes and on a mountainboard for the rough dirt terrain. You pick your own line down the mountain and attack it in style. The trick system runs on in-depth physics, so you control the small movements of your rider and have a lot to learn before everything feels natural. Career Mode builds worlds procedurally, which means the jumps and slopes change every time you play, and each world ends with a boss jump. Parks come in races, slopestyles and park formats, each with its own feel, so you can pick the kind of run that suits you.

Play with your squad

You can ride alone or match up with friends and other players from around the world to take on the tracks together. Online co-op and online PvP are both there, so a group can either run the same course side by side or compete for points. Since the worlds are generated fresh each session, everyone in the group sees the same new layout and works out lines together. The parks are built to be shared, so a squad can settle on a favourite and jump in.

What to know before you start

REP is the currency of a session: collect as much as you can to unlock new gear, and the rep system plus character customizer let you build your rider with new threads, gear and boards, including gear from real brands. The game is in Early Access, so it is still being worked on. A tutorial is on hand to get you started with the controls, and a controller is supported. The soundtrack comes from Monstercat, and you have tools to keep and show off your best runs as edits.
