Ride down the mountain

Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders is a downhill skiing game from Megagon Industries, the followup to Lonely Mountains: Downhill. You point yourself down the slope and let gravity do the work, cutting through deep snow, skittering across ice lakes, and launching off jumps. The mountain is built for trial and error: you will crash, restart, and learn where the safe lines and shortcuts are. Along the way you can pull off tricks, chase your best time for a spot on the leaderboard, or just explore the slope at your own pace. Playing alone works fine if you want a quiet run.

Play with your group

The multiplayer supports 2-8 players with crossplatform play, so your group can mix setups. In co-op mode you work your way down the mountain as a team and share a limited pool of checkpoints, which means the run only moves forward if the group keeps it together. In versus mode everyone races to the base with no holding back. Pick whichever fits the mood: a careful shared descent or a flat-out sprint.

Before you start

Expect to fall a lot before the mountain clicks. The physics reward smooth turns and reading the terrain ahead, so a few restarts are part of the loop. You can unlock new equipment, outfits, and tricks as you play, and character customization lets you set up your rider. The game runs with a controller and has a stylized, family friendly look, so it is easy to hand the pad around.
