Story Mode with Tanjiro
In Story Mode you play as Tanjiro Kamado and follow three arcs from the anime: the Entertainment District Arc, the Swordsmith Village Arc, and the Hashira Training Arc. Battles against Upper Rank demons are mixed with cinematic sequences and quick-time events, so the pace shifts between watching the story and reacting at the right moment. This is a singleplayer experience you can work through on your own before jumping into the fighting.
VS Mode and the Hashira
VS Mode is where the group plays together. The roster holds over 40 characters, including all nine Hashira, and two new mechanics sit on top of the standard 3D fighter system: Dual Ultimates and Gear. Fights can be played online or offline, so a group can either sit on the same couch or meet up over the internet. Online play requires the latest patch installed.
Before You Start
The game includes save data bonuses for players who own Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles or Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Sweep The Board!, granting extra character unlock keys and battle attire. These bonuses only apply on the same platform. Note that character depictions in the store are based on the in-game 3D models rather than separate artwork.
