Fighting Titans with omni-directional mobility gear
Attack on Titan 2 is a third-person action game where you play as a single soldier in the world of the anime. The core of the game is the omni-directional mobility gear, which lets you fly through the air and close the distance on giant Titans. You can use Sneak Attacks to instantly reach a Titan far away and cut it down, or circle behind one for a Hook Drive attack that deals heavy damage. Titans hunt you back, and their movements are designed to feel menacing as they close in. Entering a danger zone raises the pressure further, putting you in the middle of a tense battlefield.
Playing together online
The game supports online cooperative and competitive play. In co-op, you send a distress call and other players join you to take on missions together. In competitive play, there are four different types of online competition to face off against other players. Beyond multiplayer, the story mode follows Season 2 of the anime along with an original sub-story supervised by Hajime Isayama, told partly through your own original character as a member of the Survey Corps.
Building your own soldier
The Character Editor lets you create an original character, choosing facial features and body shape among other options. The roster of playable characters has grown to 37. Between battles, Daily Life sections show characters in their plain clothes, and interacting with them builds bonds. Stronger bonds unlock Buddy Actions, where those characters support your original character in battle, and open up each character's side stories.
Before you start
The content of Attack on Titan 2 is included in Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle. If you already own Attack on Titan 2, the Final Battle Upgrade Pack adds that content. The game carries tags including gore, nudity, and sexual content, so keep that in mind for your group.
