What Death Crown Is

Death Crown is a minimalist real time strategy game rendered in a 1bit style, where you play Death herself commanding her legions against humanity's Kingdom. The setup is stripped down to the essentials: you have barracks that produce troops, mines that produce gold, and towers that protect your buildings. Every building matters, so the game rewards careful placement and timing rather than a long list of options. The campaign follows the War of the Death Crown, starting from the moment The King, whose will was strong enough to deny Death itself, grew proud enough to humiliate Death and set out to claim the artefact known as the Death Crown. You upgrade your troops, march through your foe's lands, and watch the fall of the Humanity's Kingdom unfold across the story.

Playing Together

Local multiplayer lets you punish the pitiful humans in co-op with a friend, splitting the work across the shared battlefield. Once you have the co-op rhythm down, PvP mode lets you find out which one of you is cooler by turning on each other. Remote Play Together is available, so a friend can join your session from their own setup. The same core buildings apply in every mode, so the co-op and PvP games stay readable: barracks for troops, mines for gold, towers for defense.

Before You Start

Expect a difficult, tactical game built on grid-based movement and 2D pixel graphics in a 1bit style. The campaign carries the story, while local multiplayer covers both co-op and PvP. Keep in mind that every building is integral to success, so losing a mine or a barracks hurts directly. The medieval, atmospheric setting and stylized visuals set the tone, but the actual play stays focused on managing your buildings and troops in real time.
