What Deadzone: Rogue is

Deadzone: Rogue is a roguelite first-person shooter set aboard a spaceship overrun by biomechanical creatures. You push through ship sectors one run at a time, from the engine rooms to the brig, fighting hunter-drones, robotic spiders, the mindless and dozens of other enemies, plus massive biomechanical bosses that punish slow aim. Each run you pick up augments, perks and items, and permanent upgrades carry over so you get stronger between attempts. Along the way you discover your true mission and origin, backed by an original soundtrack and art.

Playing it as a group

You can run it solo or with a co-op squad of up to 3 players. Co-op is built around coordination: mark enemies so the squad focuses fire, synchronize grenade strikes, and hit hard together when a wave closes in. Difficulty is adjustable per mission, so one night can be a laid-back adventure and the next can be nightmare mode — pick the level that fits the mood of the group.

Building your loadout

There are over 30 weapons, each modifiable with elemental affixes and upgrades. A shotgun can become a void-spreading crowd crusher, a submachine gun a room-clearing hail of ice, and the roster runs from plasma cannons to sniper rifles. Elements do distinct work: fire incinerates, ice freezes swarms, shock chains between enemies, and void rewards well-timed headshots. Dozens of augments, perks and items reshape how you fight — snipe from range, go stealthy, or push melee with enhanced close-quarters power.

Before you start

Expect a dark, atmospheric shooter with heavy bullet-hell pressure and PvE waves, so positioning and target priority matter as much as raw damage. Runs are meant to be repeated: you will die, bank permanent upgrades like boosted shields and amplified elemental chaos, and come back with a stronger build. Take a minute at the start of each run to decide the direction — elemental focus, stealth, melee — since the augments you find will push the build one way or another.
