A Dark Fantasy Dungeon Crawl
Dark Quest 4 is a turn-based dungeon crawler set in a realm where the Dark Sorcerer's puppet, Gulak, commands monstrous legions. Inspired by the classic HeroQuest board game, the game drops you into perilous dungeons filled with cunning traps and powerful magic. Your goal is to lead a band of champions against these forces to end Gulak's reign of terror. The adventure is presented in an isometric view with pixel graphics, giving it a classic tabletop feel.
Building and Playing Your Party
You build a party by choosing up to 10 unique heroes, each with their own stats and powers. Between quests, you can train them in the Hero Camp to unlock new cards and abilities, allowing you to forge a team that fits your playstyle. The core of the game is tactical, turn-based combat where you must outsmart over 40 unique monsters and survive deadly traps across 30 handcrafted quests. The dungeons are sprawling and multi-floored, requiring both wit and courage to explore.
Playing Together Online
Dark Quest 4 supports online co-op, letting you team up with friends to combine your heroes' strengths against Gulak's legions. You can explore the dungeons together and pool your efforts to find treasures. The game also offers local couch co-op for up to 3 players, so you can share the experience in the same room.
Creator Mode and Custom Content
Beyond the main campaign, the game includes Creator Mode. This feature lets you step into the role of the Creator to design your own quests, build intricate dungeons, and shape adventures for others to explore. You can play, share, and discover community-made quests from players around the world, or craft your own original challenges to test the bravest heroes.
