What Damned 2 is
Damned 2 is an asymmetrical multiplayer horror game built on Unreal Engine 5. Four survivors explore cursed locations, scavenge for items, unlock doors, and solve puzzles scattered across the map while a fifth player hunts them as a deadly creature. If no one wants the monster role, the creature can be controlled by AI instead. Each match reshuffles key elements, so keys, items, and puzzles sit in different locations every time you start. You can adjust game settings before a match to set your own difficulty.
Playing together as a group
Up to five players can join a match: four survivors and one monster. Survivors split up to search for items and complete puzzles, then regroup to unlock doors and find a way out. The built-in VOIP system simulates echoes, reverberation, and the surrounding environment, so calling out what you found works like real speech in a space. Keep in mind that monsters can hear you while they are hunting, so a loud call for help can give away your position. Each monster has its own set of abilities and playstyle, with some stalking in silence and others creating chaos and confusion.
Before you start
The game is in Early Access, so expect things to change as development continues. Matches are unpredictable: the layout of keys, items, and puzzles shifts each run, so a plan that worked last time may not work this round. Teamwork, awareness, and a steady hand matter more than memorizing a single route. If you take the monster role, learn its abilities and use them to hunt the survivors; if you play survivor, stay aware of your surroundings and watch what you say over voice chat.
