Clearing the infected zone
Containment Corp, Inc. is a first-person co-op survival horror game for 1 to 4 players. Each deployment drops your team into an infected zone where you fight off enemies, gather evidence, and work out which otherworldly anomaly you are supposed to trap. You carry tools and weapons rather than only hiding, so there is plenty of shooting and exploration alongside the horror. Missions also come with bonus objectives that add extra challenges for a bigger payout at the end of a successful run.
Playing together
Online co-op is the main way to play, and there is a single player mode if you prefer to go alone. The game uses positional voice chat, so your voice comes from where your operative stands, which makes calling out threats and coordinating a push much more direct. The maps are large, with at least 4 unique zones each, and they hold secrets worth finding together. Loot you extract can be traded for money and used on cosmetics that change your suit and weapon appearances, so your group can bring its own look to the next job.
Before you start
Containment Corp, Inc. is in Early Access, built by a team of 2 developers who plan to keep adding maps, events, and features over time. Online play runs on a peer to peer system, which is worth knowing before you invite the group. Each of the 4 large maps has its own layout and special challenge to learn, and the maps are big enough that you should expect a few runs before you know them well.
