Run a Bakery in Sugar Creek Burrows

Cinnabunny is a cozy life simulator where you play as a bunny who has just arrived in Sugar Creek Burrows. Your family is dealing with a drought back home, so your mother asked you to find a new place for everyone to live. You found this village, and now you need to run a bakery and save up enough carrots so your family can move here too. The bakery also doubles as your living quarters, so you can organize your baking tools, add furniture, and make the place feel like home.

The core loop is baking and gathering what you need for it. You will learn recipes for breads, pies, and cookies, and you can change them up by adding supplemental ingredients like berries, nuts, or spices. Different recipes need different ingredients, so you will plant wheat and turn it into flour, forage in the forest, or head into the caves to mine for salt. Beyond baking, the village has plenty to do: charm the other buns by gifting them baked goods and learning their taste preferences, take pictures of birds with your birdoculars, collect mushrooms, and capture rogue recyclobots with a net gun. Your bun has four skills that improve as you use them: baking, foraging, birdwatching, and recycling.

Playing Together on the Couch

Cinnabunny is built for local co-op and can be played by one or two players on the same system. It is a cooperative experience: both players share one inventory and have access to the same tools, so you are working together rather than competing. Player 2 can do everything Player 1 can do.

There is one important limitation to know about. The two of you cannot be in different unique sections of the map at the same time. If one player wants to visit the forest or the caves, both players have to go together. Buns stick together, after all.

What to Know Before You Start

There is no native online multiplayer in Cinnabunny. If you want to play with someone who is not in the same room, you can use Steam's Remote Play Together, where one computer connects to another. In either case, playing with a second person requires at least one gamepad, and the second player must have a controller for Remote Play Together to work. Xbox controllers work well. There are no split keyboard controls, so two people cannot share one keyboard.
