What Cheese Rolling is

Cheese Rolling is a physics-based runner built around the real English tradition held at Cooper's Hill. A cheese wheel gets pushed over the edge of a steep hill and everyone tumbles after it. Your character is ragdoll-driven, so the chase is as much about surviving the slope as it is about running in a straight line. Bodies bounce, trip and roll, and the cheese keeps going whether you catch it or not. The game also lets you play as the cheese itself, which flips the whole race around: instead of chasing, you are the thing everyone is piling after.

How a group plays it together

Up to 8 players compete against each other in online PvP matches, so a full Discord group can fill a lobby and race at once. There is proximity voice chat, which means you hear the people near you rather than everyone at once — useful for taunting whoever is right beside you on the hill, and it keeps the chaos local. The physics do most of the work: expect to lose your footing, get knocked sideways by other players and slide further than you meant to. Winning is about reading the slope and timing your movement, not about holding a lead.

Before you start

There is an offline singleplayer mode if nobody is around, so you can learn the hill and the ragdoll handling before jumping into a match with friends. The game is tagged with sexual content, so keep that in mind if you are playing around younger players or streaming to a wide audience. It runs as a free-to-play title, so the whole group can install it and get into a lobby without anyone needing to sort out purchases first. Expect a short, sharp race rather than a long session — rounds are quick, chaotic and easy to repeat.
