A co-op gladiator roguelike
Chained Beasts is a top-down action roguelike for 1-4 players set in the Colosseum. You slash and hack enemies with swords, throw weapons from a distance, and use the arena itself as a weapon: hurl an urn, charge foes into a wall of spikes or a pit of snakes, or throw them at an urn. The runs are PvE, and each run takes a different path. Fame in the arena brings you closer to Rome and a chance at freedom or revenge.
Fighting while chained to your friends
You and your friends are literally chained together, so your movement is tied to each other. Poor coordination can leave the group tangled around a pillar, while good timing lets you trip enemies and turn a fight around. The chaos is part of the fun, mixing brutal combat with slapstick moments. The game supports Online Co-op and Remote Play Together, so you can link up with friends over the internet or share a session remotely.
Wounds, bosses, and building your fighter
Every day in the arena leaves you with new wounds: a painful limp, a missing left eye, or hallucinations only you can see. Potions can relieve the pain but their side effects may leave you with worse afflictions, and surgery is another option. As your fame rises you face brutal bosses, arena heroes armed with every advantage. Experience forges you into a tougher fighter with powerful skills, the crowd backs you when you win them over, and saved money buys equipment and weapons that can turn the tide. New characters with powerful abilities can be unlocked along the way.
