A puzzle island about leaving things behind

Bonfire Peaks is a third-person puzzle game where you carry your belongings to a bonfire and burn them. The island is built from voxel art, with grid-based movement and Sokoban-style puzzles: you push and place objects to clear a path to the fire. The world is open, so you can move between puzzle areas in the order you like rather than following a fixed line. The tone is calm and atmospheric, with a focus on closure rather than combat or timers.

Playing together

Bonfire Peaks is a singleplayer game, so one person plays at a time. The Steam feature Remote Play Together lets others join in remotely, watching and taking turns on the same session. There is no co-op mode or shared puzzle solving built in; the group experience is about passing the controller, discussing solutions, and cheering each other on through the harder rooms.

Before you start

The game is tagged as difficult, so expect puzzles that take real thought and some backtracking as you learn how objects interact. Progress is nonlinear, which means you can wander off to a different part of the island when a puzzle stumps you and come back later. Movement is grid-based, so positioning matters more than reflexes. There is no combat, no failure state beyond getting stuck, and the whole thing is designed to be relaxing once you settle into its rhythm.
