Battlefield 4™ drops you into massive 64-player battles where the environment itself is a weapon. Interactive environments react to your actions in real time, so you can trigger a shipwreck or flood the streets to gain a tactical advantage. Beyond the online multiplayer, the game includes an intense single-player campaign where international tensions are running high and you must evacuate critical American VIPs from Shanghai, battling against the odds to get your squad home.
Playing together as a group
As an online PvP experience, your group can join the same matches and fight on the same side or against each other within the game's multiplayer modes. Success comes from playing to your strengths and using all your resources to carve out a path to victory, which means coordinating who takes which of the four combat roles and who handles vehicles like helicopters, stealth jets, gunboats, and anti-air. Because the battlefields are dynamic, a squad that communicates can trigger environmental changes such as flooding streets or destroying cover to set up attacks the opposing team will not see coming. Completing challenging assignments together unlocks new weapons, and the co-op tag indicates you can also team up against the AI rather than other players.
