What BattleBit Remastered is

BattleBit Remastered is a low-poly, large-scale FPS that runs servers with up to 254 players. Matches are built around team-based warfare: you pick a role, whether that's storming enemy positions with Assault or setting up defences as Support, and every role matters on the field. The maps are near-fully destructible, so walls come down, buildings collapse, and the shape of the fight changes as you play. The game is in Early Access, which means things are still being worked on — weapon customization is marked as work in progress, where you modify scopes, grips, barrels and mags to shape a loadout.

Playing it with your group

You squad up together and drop into the same large battle, coordinating over open VOIP. Proximity voice chat means you hear people near you, so you can call out positions, plan a push, or just talk to whoever you're fighting. With 254 players on a server, the fight is spread across a big map with plenty of room for a squad to find its own angle — holding a building, flanking, or riding out in a vehicle together. Vehicles are part of the shared play: tanks, helicopters, transports and sea vessels are all on the table, so a group can split between infantry work and vehicular combat and still affect the same match.

Before you start

Expect chaos rather than a tight, small-lobby shooter — this is Massively Multiplayer PvP on that scale, and the destructible environment means cover you were relying on can disappear mid-fight. Controller support is partial, so keep that in mind depending on how you play. Since it's Early Access, features like weapon customization are still in progress and may change as development continues. Jump in, pick a role that suits how you want to fight, and use the voice chat — the game is built around coordinating with the people around you, friend or foe.
