An action RPG in Baldur's Gate
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance is a Dungeons & Dragons adventure built on the 3rd Edition rule set. You fight through the world of Baldur's Gate with cold steel and spells, solving intricate puzzles along the way. The game uses an isometric view, so you see the action from above while you move, attack and cast. Creatures and environments are rendered in 3D, and spell effects go off with full force during combat.
Playing with a friend
You can battle alone or join a friend in two-player cooperative mode. On Steam, Remote Play Together lets a friend join in over the internet even if they do not own the game. Both of you fight side by side against the enemies and puzzles the game throws at you, sharing the same screen.
Characters and replay value
There are three customizable characters, each with distinctive powers, appearances and abilities that develop as you play. After you finish the game, you can start over with a different customized character to see the adventure from another angle, or take on Extreme mode, which raises the difficulty tenfold. The game also features Dolby Surround sound, real-time sound effect mixing, Hollywood voice talent and an original soundtrack by Jeremy Soule.
