Two detectives, one case
Antioch: Scarlet Bay is an online cooperative narrative adventure set in Antioch, a dark metropolis between the mountains and the sea. You play as one of two detectives working together to solve a murder. The city is filled with characters who have their own motivations and behaviors, and discovering their stories — or choosing not to — changes your experience of the story. The whole thing plays out like interactive fiction with a noir, comic book feel, and your choices carry real weight.
Playing together
Your partner is a real person: a friend or a complete stranger. Both of you decide on the direction of the story, and you won't always agree with your partner. How you choose to pursue the case, and how you shape the relationship between the two protagonists, is up to the two of you. The game supports online co-op across PC, Mac, Linux, Android and iOS, so you can play with friends or strangers on any device.
Before you start
Expect a story-heavy experience built around choices rather than action. There are a dozen different endings depending on what you and your partner decide, so two playthroughs can go very differently. The tone mixes dark noir with humor, so it can shift between serious and funny from moment to moment. Since your partner's input matters as much as yours, be ready to negotiate — and to live with decisions you didn't make alone.
