A third-person shooter set in an alternate 1940s
Zombie Army 4: Dead War is a PvE shooter from the makers of Sniper Elite 4, continuing the alternate history of Zombie Army Trilogy. The resistance defeated Zombie Hitler and cast him into Hell, but the dead rise again with greater hunger. You play as the Survivor Brigade, fighting through huge levels across Italy and beyond: corpse-riddled canals, a Zombie Zoo, and dark, inexplicable places no person has been before and lived to tell the tale. The campaign uncovers a sinister plan and is built for 1-4 players.
Playing the campaign together
Online Co-op lets up to four players fight the hordes side by side. The gunplay uses the ballistics Rebellion made famous in the Sniper Elite series, with an X-Ray Kill Camera that shows bullets, bombs and more destroying bones and organs in slow motion, plus dismemberment that tears off limbs while the dead keep coming. When enemies surround you, enhanced melee lets you barge through crowds, stomp on heads and use takedown moves. The enemy roster includes ghoulish grabbers, hulking armoured elites, shadow demons, explosive suicide generals and a Zombie Tank.
Progression, weapons and extra modes
Ranking up builds your slayer: you can take damage for teammates, carry a turret with you, and unlock outfits, emotes and taunts. At workbenches you upgrade guns with fire, lightning and divine essence, such as an assault rifle that shoots lightning or a pistol with a flaming bayonet. The expanded Horde Mode grows the map the longer you survive. Season Pass One is free with the base game and adds 3 campaign levels for 1-4 players, 4 character packs, 9 weapon bundles, 5 weapon skin packs and 4 character outfit bundles. Further seasons add the 3-part Hell Cult campaign and Death From Above.
