A Duelist Simulator Across Yu-Gi-Oh! History
Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist is a turn-based card battler built around the Duelist Simulator, a program that recreates famous Duels from across the franchise. The Story Campaign runs from the original Yu-Gi-Oh! series through Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL, letting you replay actual events from the timeline with the storylines, characters, and Decks tied to them. The card pool holds over 6,600 cards, including Pendulum Summon Monsters, and there are hundreds of matches spread across more than 90 characters.
Playing Together Online
The multiplayer side is online PvP. You build a custom deck and take it against other players. Beyond standard matches, the game supports Battle Pack Sealed Deck and Draft play, where you assemble a deck from packs rather than your own collection and then challenge other Duelists with it. This gives your group a way to play on even footing even when nobody has the same cards.
Before You Start
Expect a card game first: matches are turn-based and reward deckbuilding knowledge, so knowing your card interactions matters more than reflexes. The campaign walks through the anime storylines, which is useful if you want context before jumping into PvP. Sealed and Draft modes are separate from standard constructed play, so plan for both if your group wants to rotate formats.
