What World Racing 2 - Champion Edition is

World Racing 2 - Champion Edition is a racing game with both arcade and simulation sides. You pick from more than 80 vehicles and drive on over 100 race tracks spread across five large sceneries, including Italy, Egypt and Hawaii. The areas are open to drive across without barriers, so you can go off-road instead of sticking to the racing line. Five game modes cover arcade racing, simulation, mission mode and training, which lets you tune how much realism you want in a session. Car tuning is available, along with individual settings for colours, rims and similar details.

How damage and traffic shape a race

The damage model is both visual and logical. Cars pick up dents and scratches, parts can fly off, and internal damage affects how the car drives afterwards. That means a rough start to a race keeps costing you later rather than resetting. Side traffic and oncoming traffic are part of the picture too, so a clean line through a corner can be ruined by a car you did not expect. Staying alert matters as much as raw speed.

Playing together and modding

The Steam feature Remote Play Together is listed for this game, which is how a group can join in from the store's side. Champion Edition adds modding support and Steam Workshop support, so the track and car selection can grow beyond what ships with the game. Before starting, note that the game carries tags for difficult and retro, so expect an older-school feel rather than a forgiving modern racer. It is also tagged as singleplayer, so plan how your group will actually get into the same session before you all commit to a night of racing.
