Woodle Tree 2: Deluxe+ is a 3D open-world platformer where you play as Woodle, trying to save Mother Nature from a black substance that is draining life and energy from everything in the Wood Lands. You travel across forests, deserts, hills, seashores, mountains and oceans, meeting characters along the way who may help or hinder you. The game mixes platforming with puzzle sections and light RPG elements, and it leans into a cartoony, colorful, cute look with a comedic tone and a soundtrack that carries the mood.
Playing it with friends
The main adventure supports local co-op for up to 4 players, so you can run through the whole quest together on one screen. Steam also lists Remote Play Together, which lets people join over a connection rather than sitting in the same room. Either way, the shared experience is the campaign itself: exploring the world, taking on enemies, and solving the puzzles as a group.
What to know before starting
This is the Deluxe+ edition, which reworks level designs, controls, animations, abilities, enemies, characters, music and levels, and adds new unlockables, challenges and puzzles. Platforming sections were redesigned to be tougher, aimed at players who want a harder run, and the game introduces fast-paced new abilities to learn. The main game already includes the "Sleepin' Flowers" DLC with its own hard challenges, so there is extra content waiting once you finish the base quest. Expect a singleplayer experience at its core with co-op layered on top, plenty of exploration, and a world that rewards poking into corners rather than following a straight line.
