Hide-and-seek with a magical twist

Witch It is a multiplayer hide-and-seek game set in a vibrant, magical world. One side plays hunters, the other plays witches. Hunters sweep the map looking for witches that have disguised themselves as ordinary objects. Witches blend into the scenery, so a book on a shelf, a piece of furniture, or a kitchen utensil might not be what it seems. Trust no furnishing, grocery, or utensil. The maps cover humble villages, exotic islands, and peculiar forests, each with its own prop arrangements so matches stay different from round to round.

Playing together with your group

Your group can join a public server or open a private server and play together. Pick a side: hunters get an assortment of skills and tools to detect, trap, or slow down witches and to move across the map quickly. Witches can mimic any physical object in the landscape, and if a hunter finds them, they can cast a spell to fly, disorientate, or distract the hunter and escape. There are several ways to play: Hide and Seek is the standard mode where witches survive a time limit; Mobification is faster-paced and eliminated witches join the hunter team; Hunt a Hag turns off all skills and projectiles for a one-way game of tag; Fill a Pot is a 2v2 mode where witches fill cauldrons with specific props before time runs out or they lose all lives. Creative mode lets you build a map or prop arrangement with other players in real time using the in-game map editor, then upload it for others to play.

Before you start

Witch It is in Early Access, so expect things to change over time. There are 15+ official maps plus player-made maps to browse. Physics-based prop movement means props can slide around, which helps witches find a good hiding spot and hunters spot things that look out of place. Characters level up and you can unlock and craft hundreds of items with different rarities, including shirts, brooms, and costumes. The game carries tags for family-friendly and casual play alongside its PvP action, so it suits groups that want something lighter than a shooter.
