Build your own warship

Waves of Steel is a fast arcade naval combat game where you build a custom warship and take it into battle. Between missions, you spend scavenged parts in a ship designer that lets you freely place components on the deck, then set flags, paint jobs, and decals. You can assemble a destroyer, cruiser, or battleship from hundreds of parts, each with its own look and capabilities. Dozens of playable ships are based on historical designs, and the arsenal covers naval artillery, torpedoes, anti-aircraft guns, missile launchers, and science-fiction options like lasers and railguns.

Fight across the globe

The campaign follows a story where tyrants seize power across the world and your free warship resists them. Missions are split into small, pick-up-and-play chunks, and you face enemy ships, planes, submarines, and superweapons such as a flying battleship and a gun made from a volcano. Special powers help turn the tide: jump over torpedoes, stun enemies with an EMP blast, or halt projectiles in their tracks. The fight takes you around the globe as you hunt for the source of the enemy's power.

Accessibility and play options

The game offers rebindable controls, separate volume sliders for music, ambient sounds, and other sounds, and adjustable game speed from 10% to 200%. No button needs to be held: weapon fire can be set to hold or toggle, and all weapons can use autofire so you can focus on sailing. The HUD is large, easy to read, and customizable, and in-game assists such as invincibility, infinite ammo, and mission skipping are easy to reach. Remote Play Together is supported for shared sessions.
