Defend Alaric Prime against the Ork tide
Warhammer 40,000: Sanctus Reach (Classic) is a 3D turn-based tactics game. You command the Space Wolves as they make their stand on the Knight World of Alaric Prime, the last planet in the Sanctus Reach system still resisting Grukk Face-Rippa's Red Waaagh! The setting is a dark era of endless war, with the Imperium of Man beset on all sides and billions of Orks sweeping from world to world.
Build your list and fight turn by turn
Before a battle you spend your points, build your unit list, and choose your deployment. During the fight you move your units, use their different abilities, and pick from many weapon types. Terrain matters: watch your flanks and use the ground to your advantage, since every tactical choice can decide the outcome. Units have their own strengths and weaknesses, and they gain experience levels through a campaign, unlocking new abilities and tactical options as they go.
Two long campaigns and a range of ways to play
The campaign mode follows the Space Wolves through two story-driven campaigns: Stormclaw, with over 20 missions and skirmishes, and Hour of the Wolf, with over 25. You can play as Space Wolf heroes Krom Dragongaze, Ragnar Blackmane, and their Jarl, the High King of Fenris, Logan Grimnar, and lead the Imperial Knight Gerantius. The roster includes 30 Space Wolf units, from packs of Blood Claws to the Predator. In skirmish battles you lead the green tide of the Orks instead, with 30 Goff units including the Gorkonaut and Ork Warbosses Grukk Face-Rippa and Mogrok da Mangla. Skirmish maps are generated across many terrain and environment types.
Playing with friends
Multiplayer uses Slitherine's online PBEM++ server, and the Steam features list online co-op and online PvP. The game also includes a map generator for fresh skirmish setups.
