Fly a near-futuristic jet with your hands
VTOL VR is a combat flight game built for Virtual Reality. You pilot advanced multi-role jets and reach out to the cockpit to flip switches, press buttons, and move the stick and throttle. No extra hardware is needed; a VR set with tracked controllers gives you a virtual cockpit you can interact with directly. The aircraft available are the AV-42C Tilt-jet for VTOL/STOL/CTOL attack and transport, the F/A-26 Fighter/Attack Jet, and the F-45A Stealth Multi-role STOVL Jet. Missions cover combat, vertical landings, aircraft carrier operations, and aerial refueling, alongside a campaign, free flight, and training scenarios.
Play with other pilots online
Online multiplayer lets you join fellow pilots for PVP or PVE missions. You can command AI wingmen and call on a radio communication system that reaches wingmen, ATC, AWACS, and ground crew. AI friends and foes include tanks, artillery, surface-to-air missile launchers, ships, and planes. Equipment on your aircraft is interchangeable, covering guns, rockets, missiles, and bombs, while vehicle systems include a heads-up display, targeting pod, multi-function displays, radar, IR flares, and chaff. Your head controls targeting, heatseekers, and gimballed cannons through the head-mounted cueing system.
Build and share your own missions
A built-in mission editor and map editor let you create custom missions and maps, and Steam Workshop support lets you share, download, and rate user-made content without leaving VR. Carrier operations include catapult-assisted takeoff and arrested landing, and ground-based refueling and rearmament are available between sorties. The vehicle physics model lift, weight, thrust, and drag, and an ejector seat is there when things go wrong.
