What Volley Court is

Volley Court is a 3D volleyball game from Dopamine Dealer, built as a follow-up to the developer's earlier 2D volleyball title. It aims for a mix of real volleyball positions and a lighter, funny feel. The game offers both single player and online PvP, with online battles supporting up to 12 players.

The match is played from the court itself rather than from a fixed camera. You get a third-person view and a wide-angle view for reading the whole play, plus a first-person perspective that puts you closer to the ball. That first-person mode is the main addition over the earlier game, and it changes how you judge timing on serves, passes and hits.

Playing it with friends

You can create a game and invite people through Steam, as long as everyone involved owns the game on Steam. With 12 players available, a full group can be split into two teams for a proper match rather than just a casual rally.

Skills appear in both the single player and online modes, so the move set you learn alone carries over when you play against other people. Since the game is built around score attack and PvP, rounds are short and easy to hand off between matches.

Positions and what to expect

Rather than one generic player, the game gives you different positions to control, each with a clear job. The outside hitter brings the powerful smash, the setter handles precise passing, the middle blocker puts up the big block, and the libero covers the floor with saves. Unique levels are designed around these positions, so you pick the role that suits how you want to play.

Single player has its own set of modes beyond the online battles, so there is something to run through on your own when no one else is around. Go in expecting a casual sports game with enough tactical depth in the positions to keep a full group of 12 busy across several matches.
