Build track while the train is moving

Unrailed 2: Back on Track is a top-down railroad construction game where your crew chops wood, mines stone, and lays rails in front of a train that never stops. The worlds are procedurally generated, so every run throws a different layout of trees, rocks, water, and other obstacles at you. Six biomes are available, each with its own mechanics and a boss waiting at the end. If the train runs out of track, it derails and the run is over.

Play together, online or on one screen

The game supports local and online multiplayer, so you can split tasks with friends in the same room or over the internet. Remote Play Together lets someone join from their own machine. Coordination is the core of the experience: one person fells trees, another smashes rocks, someone else carries planks to the front, and someone keeps an eye on the train's speed. Communication matters more than reflexes. There is also an 8-player Vs Mode where two teams compete, with online leaderboards, action replays, and scoring to compare runs.

Progress carries between runs

Every excursion earns rewards that stick around. Permanent upgrades give your character gameplay-modifying abilities, and you unlock new train engines, wagons, and extensions to build different train configurations. Stations found along the route let you upgrade the train or equip cartridges for new abilities, and there are characters and equipment to unlock. Losing a locomotive is part of the loop: you rebuild and head out again with better tools.

Make your own levels

The Terrain Conductor mode is a built-in level editor for creating custom maps to share with the community, with highlights featured by the developers. If building is not your thing, you can browse maps made by other players. The game runs with a controller and carries a colorful, cute art style with a soundtrack worth noting.
