Build and run a railway network
Rail Route is a simulation game where you lay track, place stations, and dispatch trains across maps based on real-life cities worldwide. You start with a small setup and grow it into a complex system. Dispatching trains keeps traffic flowing and the network growing. Signals, contracts, and upgrades add layers of complexity as you go. The game offers three modes: Endless Mode for building from scratch at your own pace, Timetable Mode for puzzle-like challenges with pre-set maps and schedules, and Rush Hour Mode for wave after wave of dispatching challenges.
Playing together with friends
Rail Route supports Online Co-op, so you and your friends can work on the railway network together. Coordinate who places signals, who accepts contracts, and who handles dispatching as the network gets busier. The automation tools, including sensors and automatic routers, give the group shared systems to plan and refine.
Before you start
The game is described as simple to start but rewarding to master, welcoming new players while offering depth for veterans. Beyond the main modes, there are over 2,000+ community-made maps and a built-in level editor for designing your own networks or recreating famous junctions. Maps are inspired by real-world cities, and you can share creations with the community.
