A blocky action MMO built for groups

Trove drops you into procedurally generated realms full of cubes, dungeons and treasure. You pick a class — Knight, Gunslinger, Ice Sage, Dracolyte, Pirate-with-a-parrot and others — and master its abilities while upgrading gear to take on tougher challenges. The realms themselves are fully destructible, so every playthrough reads differently, and each realm carries its own dungeons, Lairs and enemies. Travel between regions like the Treasure Isles and Candoria, home of the Candy Barbarians, and take on action tailored to whatever level you are.

Fighting the Shadow with friends

Dungeons are the main shared activity: assemble a group of cube-kind and crawl through huge dungeons unique to each realm, fighting minions, bosses and traps for armor and weapons. Smaller Lairs work just as well when a few of you want a shorter bit of danger, and the game runs co-op online so you can team up rather than clear everything alone. There is PvP available too, if your group would rather fight each other. Along the way you collect loot — gear, costumes, decorations, recipes, crafting ingredients, flying carpets, ships and dragons — which gives everyone something to chase and something to show off.

Building worlds together

Cornerstones are personal homes you build block by block, and they travel with you: drop one on a marked plot in any world you are visiting and your hand-built base appears, with space to rest and craft. Club Worlds are the group version — entire worlds you and your friends build together, whether that is enormous geodic domes in the desert or castles in the sky. The crafting range runs wide: Music Blocks, fishing, farming, pets, sailing with boats, flying with wings, mag trains, dance pads, allies, flasks, bombs, piñata parties, and you can make and submit your own items, including Dungeons, Lairs and Class Costumes.

Before you start

Trove is free to play and includes in-app purchases, so expect optional paid content alongside the regular loot grind. It supports Steam Achievements, Trading Cards and Workshop, plus save-anytime play, adjustable text size, custom volume controls and playable without timed input. Controller support is partial, with DualShock and DualSense controllers listed as supported.
