A festival built on crashes
TRAIL OUT is a combat racing game where reaching the finish line is only half the problem. You drive through city streets, derby arenas and dangerous tracks with crossroads while cars explode, lose wheels and drivers get thrown out of windows. The career follows Mihalych, a racer trying to win the festival's main cup by beating every boss on the Blacklist. Along the way you collect fans by racing and completing challenges, which unlocks more cars. The garage lets you build vehicles from parts at the junkyard and improve the body, engine, wheels, nitrous oxide, paint and license plates. You can also change Mihalych's appearance and upgrade his garage.
Eight ways to race and fight
The game runs on Unreal Engine 4 and offers eight modes. Cross puts oncoming traffic on the halfway point of the track. Rush is a longer race where you have to fight for position. Derby Classic is last-one-standing destruction, while Derby Domination scores points for hits. Hunter rewards you for destroying cars and beating a high score. No Time is a timed run in special vehicles, Stunts covers mini-games like bowling and darts, and Escape has an armed aircraft hunting whoever is in last place. Boss duels come in two forms: Catch me up, a race on the boss's home turf, and Derby Duel, a one-on-one demolition fight where the boss brings backup. Dead Out is an alternative mode where you drive against zombies.
Playing together and what to expect
Up to four players share one screen in split-screen, on the same PC or through Steam Remote Play Together. The roster holds up to 50 cars across different classes, eras and conditions, and there are 50 tracks ranging from dense city circuits to open arenas. Damage is physical and severe: a car can be reduced to a wreck, lose a wheel, catch fire and explode. Records for lap times and props destroyed go on a world leaderboard. The soundtrack is licensed under the Adrenaline banner, and further content arrives through game updates.
