What the game is

Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival is a drum-based rhythm game set in Omiko City, where you meet Don-chan and his new friend Kumo-kyun and work toward becoming a Taiko Master. In Taiko Mode you drum along to the rhythm of each song and aim to play it from start to finish. There are 4 difficulty modes to choose from, so you can start easy and work your way up. The song list covers multiple genres, including Anime, VOCALOID, Game Music and Pop, with 76 songs in the game. Titles include Gurenge, My Neighbor Totoro - Ending Theme Song, Charles, MEGALOVANIA, Into The Night and Feel Special. Improvement Support is available to help you get better at drumming.

Playing together

You can play solo or with other people. Taiko Mode and Great Drum Toy War support up to 2 players, while Don-chan Band and Run! Ninja Dojo support up to 4 players. Each player needs their own controller. Great Drum Toy War has you play along to songs and deploy toys to push back your opponent's toys on the way to victory. Don-chan Band has the group of 4 perform concerts together, and Run! Ninja Dojo has you become a ninja and race against the others, overcoming obstacles as you compete for 1st place. In Taiko Mode you can play casually with another player or compete for the highest score.
